  1. Right Click Trash to Empty

I would like to be able to empty the trash by right clicking the folder. That would be faster than having to do it from the Folders menu.

  2. Fix Account Settings

When in Preferences > Accounts, if one email account is currently focused/highlighted and you click settings icon for any of the other accounts, you will still get settings for the highlighted account.

  3. show all contacts in the list view for conversations

Right now the email list in Airmail 2 shows only the sender of the last email in the conversation. Most of the time this is me, so I get a big list of conversations with my name on it, which is not very helpful.

I propose to handle this the same way as Gmail does, by showing the names of all involved contacts. My own address should not appear at all, since it's obvious that I'll be involved in the conversations, since it's my inbox.

  4. Allow compose windows to float as in Gmail

Gmail allows compose windows to float so that you can type into an email while reviewing another email

  5. I save an email to a folder but when I delete it from inbox it also deletes from folder?

I need to drop various emails to different folders. But when I delete the emails from Inbox or All Mail it also deletes from folder. How do I prevent this?

  7. Bring back previous look of Echo

There is a big difference between the Echo theme in Airmail 1 and Airmail 2. In the new Echo theme, the subject is always bold regardless of unread/read state, and the account icon on the right that displayed what account the email was associated with was removed. As a result, the new Echo theme greatly looses much of its usability.

  8. Remember window size on launch

Airmail 2.0 no longer remembers the window size when it launches. This drives me crazy since I have to resize it to my preference every time. Perhaps this could be corrected in the next update?

If you go to the notification center and open an email, then delete it, you are presented with a blank message window.

  11. Bring back the black font for read messages

In Airmail 1.x the unread messages were black bold font, read messages appeared in thin black font.

now with 2.0 read meassages are grey and thin, which is a pain to skim through!

  12. Exchange public folders support

Really missing this functionality in every Mac email client including Mail, this is the only thing which makes me use either Outlook (that piece of...software) or OWA periodically. Would definetelly love to see that in AirMail, hope not only me.

  13. Fold main-folder with sub-folders, so that only the main-folder is shown

Currently, if you have a folder with some sub-folders in your imap account, all folders are shown. It would be nicer, if you could fold the main folder, that the sub-folders aren't shown.

  14. Multiple files "Quicklook" & save multiple attachments by drag&drop

I can select multiple attachments, but I only can't preview them altogether. It would also be nice to drag&drop multiple attachments to the desktop (for example)

  15. It would be nice to be able to copy and paste labels between emails.

I use Gmail labels exclusively to organize my emails. To me labeling an email is analogous to tagging in other applications. There are many times I receive multiple emails where I apply 4 labels to one and would like to apply the same labels to the other but they are not considered a conversation. Therefore I have to label each message individually. Copy and pasting labels would be speed up my email processing.

  18. Configurable Translucence

In Airmail 1, the right sidebar was not translucent and was easy to read. In Airmail 2, the right is translucent and depending on the content undernead the window, it can make it hard to read. There should be an option to remove translucence

  19. Received Messages: Plain text only

Is it possible to force incoming messages to plain text? I get lots mails from outlook users in plain text with funky fonts and colors.

  20. Option to disable (or edit) global address list

I have multiple email accounts with some emails dating back a couple of years. Airmail 2.0 is pulling in email addresses that are out-of-date and I have to be very careful when typing a recipient to ensure I use their current email address.

Out of preference, my Mac address book is the ONLY source of email addresses I would like to use - the GAL may be useful for some, but for me it is a headache and a source of great danger (auto-complete, send to wrong person, get sacked).

Just like Outlook, I would like to be able to…
