Attachments Hard to Find
It's too hard to find attachments. It's routinely takes several minutes for me to figure out how to get to them in a long thread. Ideally, I could just click the paperclip or see a separate pane at the bottom.
It really sucks when you get in a thread where the messages are collapsed and can't tell which one has an attachment. You have to expand every message individually to see which has one. If the paper clip icon would just show on the collapsed line. I recall this working in the old airmail. It is terribly inconvenient to open and close each message to just find which had attachments.
Agreed! All you need to add is the paperclip icon in the condensed list of a thread for each email that has an attachment.
As an added bonus, clicking on the paperclip would open the email directly at the attachment list.
Totally! I actually launch OS X Mail to find attachments in a long thread. I just don't have the time to go looking...
+1 for this. Airmail *almost* has it right - the paperclip icon is in the subject line... but it disappears exactly when you need it the most! It should remain visible in the collapsed conversation view and I would also suggest that it gains functionality to either "jump" to the attachments in the email, or offer a way of viewing or saving them all.

You need to scroll the entire email just to find the attachments...it is very annoying.
Totally agree with this. This together with that its hard visually to separate individual emails in a thread (its only a thin grey line) makes it almost impossible to find the attached files.
This is a big deal. I am using Office 365 (thanks, corporate IT), but regardless, finding attachments can be really challenging in email threads. Maybe have the attachment show up under the subject line instead of at the end of the email.

Also agree, I've just about decided to go back to Gmail, I've wasted hours looking for attachments and resorted back to gmail many times already. I can't afford this timesink especially with clients waiting on work.
Attachment view like unibox mail app works great. Maybe you can implement it in Airmail?
I believe this is more ammunition toward the case of expanding conversations within AirMail, c'mon.
Yup. Same here. I often have attachments go missing and have a very hard time trying to find them.
Agree with comment above -- attachments are hard to find. Would be nice if either one of the below features were available:
1. In the detail view, even if the first message in the thread is expanded, you can still see a few collapsed subsequent messages in the thread. One should be able to scroll down to view the entire first message, and when the end of the first message is reached, the scrolling action causes scrolling of the collapsed messages in the thread.
2. Like MS Outlook for Mac 2011, clicking on a conversation in the navigation pane reveals the entire collapsed thread listing, with attachment symbols next to each message in the thread that contains an attachment.
Option 2 is my personal preference.
