Attachments Hard to Find
It's too hard to find attachments. It's routinely takes several minutes for me to figure out how to get to them in a long thread. Ideally, I could just click the paperclip or see a separate pane at the bottom.
Has any one figured this out yet?

I right-click and bring up attachments in preview, which makes them larger, but this is an extra step which we shouldn't have to do.

This really does waste a ton of time and my partner and I routinely are scrolling forever to find an attachment that should be on the top email that sent them.
I can't find attachments and it's driving me nuts. Going to have to go back to Outlook as this is a basic functionality for anyone working in a standard environment. Paid for Airmail based on reviews and I'm definitely not happy. Anyone know an alternative that's not Outlook or Airmail? I need to resolve asap! Thank you.
definitely a problem I'm facing!
Agreed, please make this easier!
So, looks like this suggestion has been kicking around for a LONG time... is it being worked? How many votes exactly does a suggestion need before being considered?

Yes, Yes, Yes. Please fix this! I think the way outlook manages attachments is vastly superior.
that's totally right! need changes in the way attachments are managed...
Finding attachments (more specifically the difficulty) is causing me to rethink Airmail. It's abysmal.

Airmail's attachment handling is even worse than that of the Mail app. Pretty scary.
And also, please fix this issue - it's a major concern.
I agree with everyone on this thread.

attachments at the bottom of the mail is really not worthwhile. It should be at the top. Please consider this feature....
Google Inbox has a great summary of all attachments of an email thread. The show it in the list view too.

Finding attachments is too hard. Most emailer users have the poor habit of copying the entire growing thread over and over. The result is a bunch of cat vomit with the attachments like hairballs along the way.
Implement some UI feature that parses out the attachments, removes duplicates, time sorts the unique ones, tags each by sender, and then allows this attachment chooser to appear at the top of the thread, at the bottom of the thread, in each message of the thread, in a separate pane outside the conversations in the top of the screen, bottom of the screen, left of the screen, or right of the screen.
Having to be in email at all is bad enough -- don't make it horrible by making attachment retrieval a messy business.

Great point. I think it will be enough to make the attachment icon clickable/expandable - with a great amount of long conversations it really is unpractical.

Same here ! This is the most annoying stuff in Airmail and it is why I use Microsoft outllok.
Attachments are key for mail applications and it is badly made today.
I work on a design agency and nobody is using Airmail due to this!

it would be nice to have just a simple flat view for view all historic attachments in date order and potentially a search function
I agree with everyone here. I'm currently trying to find an attachment from a particular person who I've had hundreds of email conversations with, and it's a real pain. Plus, the Search window is too small, so you quickly run out of space to input search terms. And why can't you build a search field for "Attachments = Yes" or something similar?
+1 - please show paperclip on condensed list as well as message list.
