create sidebar themes... I don't like the black.

I'd like to have the possibility to change to a light/bright theme just like in Fantastical2

Make the appearance changeable through user themes. Saves you work.

I think, this is a very basic feature, that many similarly structured apps on Mac do provide. Shouldn't be too much effort to add a function to switch the sidebar style and add a checkbox field to the appearance section of the preferences, like "use dark sidebar", while the white sidebar would be the default one. Or vice versa.
Follow the example of the Evernote Mac client!
Black sidebar terrible
No way to change it ?
White or Gray Please

I agree that Airmail iOS themes might help. Essentially the current design makes the product useless for me. I recently decided to switch to AirMail on Mac, especially since an iOS client was also available. However, although I'm liking it on Mac (mostly), I can't really use iOS version since I can't see what's displayed in the sidebar. This must be resolved, or I might go back to my previous email solution.
Me too. Actually, I'd like to customize a bit more the look of the app, including this.

Actually the sidebar is blue-ish no? (I would be OK with semi-transparent balck) can we just make it customizable?
white please. The black distracts the eye from the mail. Black is a colour the eye is drawn to, so it's wrong for a secondary area of the interface

White/gray would be enough for me. No need for multiple themes (save that efford)
I hate black sidebar. It is gloomy. I am considering moving onto a new client if airmail doesnt provide more color options.
Same! The ability to customise the UI more via preferences would be nice.
I would prefer clearer colors: White instead of black. Text really black instead auf grey and so on. Please look at the "Postbox"-app - much better regarding the colors.
