Waiting for this feature too. The best will be scheduling when can Airmail uses autoreply, i.e. fom 00:00 - 07:00 :-)

Ditto, we need the feature.

Oh my goodness such a major oversight! Airmail needs an autoresponder!

Whilst most email providers do require you to log in to a web portal to set Out of Office Replies, Microsoft Exchange and Office365 can be configured within Apple Mail and Microsoft Outlook for Mac desktop clients. The settings are stored on the server but the ability to access them from within the email client is very, very useful and an important part of an effective workflow.
As a prospective customer I was looking at the Mac and iPhone/iPad versions of this product to provide me with better options than Apple's own solutions, but the lack of this suggests to me that the product still has a way to go before it is a fully fledged solution, so unfortunately I will carry on looking.

Out of office reply, please. An essential feature for any self-employed people using Airmail2

Sorry, doing this is on the webapp - that is just a very stupid thing to say. Some of you people don't really get it unfortunately.
Outlook for Mac is perfectly able to do this in a very nice way from the app itself (a switch + textfield to type in your message + datefields). It's probably it's best function, as the rest of the program does not match up to Airmail.
So it's possible to do in a App, so then Airmail should be able to do it to.

Out of office messages are a server side feature. How do suggest that AirMail handle that?

Very surprised that the out of office reply is missing.

Wouldn't you need to leave your computer on 24/7 during your vacation for this to work. I understand that people really want this and think it's "ridiculous to login to webmail for this" - but this needs to happen at the server level, not in a desktop email client. Otherwise your mail program can't ever be turned off. I think the adamant supporters of this request are misunderstanding how desktop email clients work.

Loving the application but missing out of office is a real flaw.
Logging on to webmail to set it is ridiculous... -

Either go back to your PC or talk to your host. This is a common feature with most mail-servers but there are so many extra features, most likely your email host is not going to list them all out for you so you can play around.

Pretty vital feature IMO. I also googled thinking it was already there. I don't want to have to mess with server-side features if it can be implemented cleanly in Airmail.

Amazed this isn't a feature. I was googling to find out how to turn it on!

Hmm I'm confused as to why we would need this feature? This is something that is usually done server side rather than client side so if you're going to be out of the office, log into the webmail of your account and set that away message there. Can't see any real need for this myself, I'm surprised it's gotten so many votes!

I would love the function to have out of office replies, I'm surprised at why this wasn't one of the features that it came with originally.

Is there some kind of workaround? Apple script? In the rules there should be a feature that simply allows to if this then send message - simple one good enough to get started!

Guys you know that you should do this OOO reply with your email hoster and not within the mail app. Turn off your Macs when on holiday and relax. Everything else is handled elsewhere.

No out-of-office feature and the Rules still does not work when attempting to move emails to certain folders automatically. Come on guys !!! Airmail is an incredible app, but if you all don't at least communicate to your users that these two items will be addressed I am going to be forced to find a different email solution (and I REALLY don't want to give up).
PLEASE provide more communication about what (if any) improvements are coming.
