How can we improve Airmail?

I want to stop airmail from creating its own IMAP folders

Can I stop airmail from creating its own IMAP folders without my permission? its very intrusive and unwanted. Actually you dont see them on the airmail app itself but on other clients and webmail you see [Airmail] and a host of subfolders. Bloody nuisance and done without my permission.

        I have the same problem.
Airmail is good, but this is really annoying. It creates folders for me, and mess up with my mail account by putting emails into that folders.
This really has to be stopped! Just use the default folders! otherwise Im gonna delete airmail for good and switch back to mail.app.

From the Airmail support guy I spoke to when visiting this page:

Please go to the Airmail preferences >> account >> double click on the account >> mapping >> Custom folder >> disable it.
Then go to the account server and remove these folders from there and then
Please go to Preferences > [Account] > double click on the account > More > Clean Messages Cache.
