With multiple accounts to choose from, it would be helpful if the dropdown menu in composer to choose which account to send from included the corresponding account colour. At the moment I have 6 accounts, and have to rely on the small image dots, or read the email text to determine which account I want to send from.3 votes
In Sierra, fix the menu bar icon so it's visible when Airmail is my front most application which will again allow users to minimize the application using the menu bar.1 vote
Both the composer and reader view should use the system font (San Francisco) as default.
Of course with the possibility of changing it in the preferences.
Right now SF is used in the left list bar but not in the main message window (or in the composer).
Also, the line height should be increased, right now the email text is difficult to read.
The same thing should be done for the iOS app, of course.1 vote
I mostly use Airmail (and many other apps) in Full Screen mode, using the App Switcher (cmd-tab) to switch between apps.
When switching back to Airmail, the app does not switch to the Airmail window. I have to switch back by doing cmd-tab immediately followed by shift-cmd-tab to make it work.
(I sometimes have this problem with Calendar too, so might be caused by something else. Suggestions?)1 vote
Prevent Airmail from opening attachments in 'read only' view. I want control over how I open attachments.1 vote
A feature that I use a lot, is the keyboard shortcut V to move messages to a given folder. In Airmail 2, this used to be very fast as – I just pressed v and immediately proceeded by typing the first few letters of the folder name. Now I just upgraded to Airmail 3, and I find that I now have to wait a moment after I press v before I start writing the name of the folder, or else it misses the first letter. This is really annoying, so I hope you can make it work as well as it used to do.

I like how the 'Read Receipt' works, however, I do not like how it only shows a receipt the first time the recipients opens the email. Rather, I believe that the user should receive a notification every time the user opens the email. As an everyday user or even a sales professional, it would showcase that the email is being read, but no response has been given. It might spark to send a quick follow up sparking a response.71 votes
Connect with my address book, find todays birthdays and send them a predefined (in settings) message on their birthday. Remind me at least once a year (let me choose the intervall) to change that message. Even better, create a folder (like Snooze) where the upcoming birthday messages are queued for delivery and where I could still add some "personal" message before they will be sent. Maybe fill that folder once a month or once a week (again, let me choose). That would save me really a lot of time every day.4 votes
Please feature to backup the mail data in mbox format, because i feel safe if we have backup mail in this standar format.22 votes
I can find no way to permanently set larger display fonts. On my 27" retina display, the fonts are painfully small. I'm considering giving up on the app entirely because of this basic, simple problem. Please, give us a way to set ALL font sizes in the app (display, in-message, everything).74 votes
Search does not work half the time, and when it does it is extremely slow. I love Airmail, but if this feature is not improved I will have to move to a different client.487 votes
Like the gravatar functionality.
If no gravatar is found, load the domain's favicon instead.3 votes
Ability to block read receipts from those wanting to spy on us. Database on known receipt services like Gmailius for Google Mail / Inbox. Report that receipt has been blocked.60 votes
it would be great if clicking on a link in airmail would replace the message pane with an embedded browser that showed the link content rather than kicking the user out to the system web browser.
the current behaviour causes a proliferation of browser tabs which isn't good for anyone.3 votes
As 'VIP' is an acronym, please consider changing the contextual menu item 'Add to Vips' to 'Add to VIP List'.

Version 3.0.2 (382)
with macOS Sierra 10.12 (16A323)
to reproduce bug:
* have airmail open for a while
* write message (new or reply)
* use keyboard shortcut for entering emojis: (ctrl + cmd + space)
* then airmail crashes
* bug reports send to Apple & Airmail
* restart Airmail
* try again, now entering emoji works
The bug _seems_ to be reported here as well: http://feedback.airmailapp.com/forums/274948-airmail-mac-3-x/suggestions/15306672-emoji-s1 vote
I think the app isn't fully integrated with Contacts app in OS X.
While composing a mail address it returns a lot of results (addresses in Contacts, previous contacts, ecc...).
Moreover in Airmail there's a Sync button to click for force a sync with Contacts.
Hope there will be a better integration with the app in next release.81 votes
In Mail (OS X and future macOS) is possible to edit a link o create a new one simply right clicking a portion of text.
Is one of the common functionality that i use during the day.
Why was not implemented in Airmail?
Hope that hint can help, :D1 vote
