  1. Sort attachments

A good feature would be to be able to change the attachments order using drag and drop.

  2. Attachment of files

I want to throw in another idea about attachments. First of, could you please get rid of the scroll function? When I get an email with more than three attachments the other attachments are hidden off screen. It has happened multiple times that I thought the sender forgot to attach the other files only to find out that they were actually there but invisible. Then there is another really annoying thing, which also might be a bug. When I try to drag&drop multiple items to an email, it only adds one of the items I want to add. It took…

  3. Embedded images sometimes do not show

I am finding that quite often, embedded images simply do not show up. Sometimes there is a placeholder for the images (a big empty space) and hovering over it shows that there is an image present (in the status), but the image does not show.... please fix.

  5. Improve the share links in Airmail so I don't get this error, "Word was unable to mail your document. Please make sure your mail..."

When creating a Word document in Outlook 2016 for Mac, there is the ability to "share" the document with other people by email. The steps are File > Share > Send Document. But every time I do this I get this error, "Word was unable to mail your document. Please make sure your mail program is configured correctly and that you can send mail with it." when Airmail 2 is set as the default mail application. I do NOT get this same error when I select Mac Mail or Outlook as the default mail client. This is a very big…

  6. Can't open Attachments with same name

If you have a mail for Attachments which have all the same filename Airmail will always open the first attachment and never the other one. With Apple Mail there is no issue.

  7. Image resize that actually does something

Just took a screen grab on retina display…in Mail.app, it fits the width of my composition window.

    With Airmail2.6: It’s huge - 1700px wide.
I use the “optimize image size”…which “reduces” it to 1600px wide.

    WTF?!

How about if you say you're introducing a feature...you actually make it useful. Like why not have "optimize size" resize it to no more than window width? Or have a few options - like "window width, 640x480, 800x600 (maintaining proportions of course).

As it is, it's completely useless (and come on - does anyone think that reducing an image from 1700px to 1600px wide…

  9. Attachments stacked if more than 2/3

I keep missing attachments from clients when there's more than 2/3, as they scroll horizontally. Everything else, including the message above the attachments, are responsive to fit the window width. It would be great if these were too (same size, just stacked would be great). I don't ever think to horizontal scroll, as that's never a natural/intuitive gesture on desktop.

    Thanks!

  11. Make it easier to save embedded images

When someone sends me an embedded image. There's no way to download it or open it from within the program. There should be a right click or button to download all. Instead, I have to copy the image, paste it into Photoshop, and then save it from there with a made-up name (as no name is displayed within Airmail).

This seems like a no-brainer, or am I the one with no brain?

  13. Allow to keep attachment on reply

Create options to keep attachments on reply, either as default functionality or for each message. Create a shortcut for it.

Use case: Someone emails me a file, I want to reply and point to something within the file, so need the attachment.

Current workarounds: forward and add the same person (makes no sense) or reply then add attachment again (lost time).

  15. In attachment preview, have Arrow keys show next/previous attachments

Upon hitting spacebar on an attachment, please have the up/down or right/left arrow keys show next and previous attachments. This can be a quick way to scroll through higher-resolution pictures, which can be quite helpful.

  16. After saving attachments, clicking on thumbnail should open saved file

Currently, you can save attachments into specific directories BUT then you have to go hunting for them via Finder (on a mac). It would be better if, after saving the attachment into a directory, clicking on the attachment thumbnail opened the file that you saved rather than creating a new copy of the file in a Tmp folder.
Either that or add a function that makes it easy to get to the file(s) after saving the attachment(s).

  17. Should have "Save Attachment As" when right clicking attachment thumbnail

This way different attachments can be saved in different directories and you could pick and choose which attachments to save.

  20. allow inline images to be opened in preview

Allow inline images to be opened in preview via double click or context menu. I receive a lot of e-mails with inline screenshots, and they are too small to view. Currently, I have to save the images first and then open them from finder.
