  1. Should be able to Archive mail from a smart folder

If you are looking at a message in a smart folder, you can't archive it. You should be able to.

  2. Turn sounds on and off for different actions individually

I would like to keep the sound on when a message is sent, but I don't want to hear the sound every time a mail is deleted or moved to another folder. Instead of all sounds on or off, how about check boxes for which actions will have sounds.

    Thanks

  3. Inbox by Google more integration

    Hello.
I very like AirMail, but I wish to more integration with inbox by Google. New features like: reminders or visible options from inbox like "links"

  4. Keyboard shortcuts for navigating a conversation

I suggest some enhancements to keyboard shortcuts for navigating conversations. This would complement the 'n' and 'p' navigation options that already exist.

';' to expand all messages in the conversation

':' to collapse all messages in the conversation, except the most recent.

'x' or '<space>' to toggle expansion of the currently selected message

    - same as clicking on the Subject line does

I think Airmail is a great client & it has been a lifesaver since my employer switched to o365.

    Thanks!

  5. using conversations in Draft folders should be separate option from using convos in Sent

Settings has a checkbox for "use conversations in Sent and Drafts folders". It is one checkbox for both folders; it should be two separate checkboxes.

Conversations in Draft folders gets very confusing to figure out which message in the thread is your (unsent) draft, especially if it should happen that the conversation proceeds forward (ie, more people start sending more emails to you) before you have managed to get back to your draft and finish and send it. Finding where your draft message went in the display is difficult. So for Drafts, far better to be able to disable conversations.

  6. Archive future messages from a conversation

Archive a conversation in a group email to automatically archive future responses to the same thread.

  7. Ability to reset only one folder

I can rebuild a whole account so that all messages are re-downloaded. This is good but not very practical when there is a lot of messages in that account, so I'd like to be able to rebuild just one folder or mailbox.

  9. VIP unread notification

To be more specific regarding the VIP list. In Apple Mail I depended on the VIP list to show me if there were new (unread) emails for any given contact with a number to the right. This is a must have feature. Seems like it was just perhaps overlooked. Presently, the VIP list is simply a filter showing only email from that contact, read or unread. Please add - fix this asap! I have moved to Airmail on all devices... (5). I am swamped with email from multiple accounts... I need to know at a glance if important email is…

  10. remember my search history

Search history. I want Airmail to remember past searches as a dropdown list as I start typing a search. In the same day I will often repeat the same search. As I switch views I lose my search and have to go back and re-create it. This is particularly true because I cannot have multiple inbox windows (will request separately).

  11. Conversation Support

The ability to deal with a single mail inside a conversation adding labels, delete or move email of a conversation without affecting all the other messages of the conversation.
E.g. if I move a single mail in a converstaion in anew folder the single mail is also moved to the folder but remains in the conversation. The same applying a label to a single mail of a conversation, without affecting the remaining messages. If i delete a mail of a conversation the deleted mail ave the deleted label but stays in the converstaion. If a delete a conversation the conversatiion…

  12. Add the standard OSX menubar item: "Window > Zoom"

Add the standard OSX menubar item: "Window > Zoom"

Practically every Mac app ever has had this menubar item. I don't understand why Airmail developers would remove it or not include it.

With every app I use, I know I can count on the CMD+Shift+Z keyboard shortcut (set in System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts) to re-size an app's window size between my preferred max & min sizes.

But with Airmail, I have to either manually resize the Airmail app, or ALT+Click the green window button (which I never do), or find some loophole in BetterTouchTool… but nothing works and/or…

Allow users to save custom views. For example I'd like to sometimes use a view of Inbox showing Unread Messages, sorted by Sender then by Date. Then be able to revert to another view showing all messages, sorted by Date.

  14. Make banners interactive too

Currently we're able to set actions for quick access from the OS X notifications, which is a neat little feature. However, those notifications always require a manual action to disappear. If we could set the same quick access-actions for banners, we could decide whether we want to take action or simply let the banner fade away.

  15. Use "Move to [folder" again

Have context-sensitive menu display "Move to [previous folder]". After you move a message or messages to a folder, remember that folder and display it when messages are selected. 9 times out of 10, that's what I want to do.

  17. Pinning folders from multiple accounts to sidebar

As with most users, I have multiple email accounts even within our business. It would be nice to pin active folders from these accounts so that it makes it easier to manually select where they go when they are in the unified inbox.

  18. Message self-destruct setting

A self-destruct action would be like a snooze action, except that instead of resurfacing at a particular time, the email would automatically move to the Trash or Archive (per a preference setting).

This would be very useful for limited-time offers, newsletters, etc., that might have a limited shelf life. If an offer from a retailer is going to expire in two weeks, I might want to keep the email around in case I decide to shop at the store before then. But I don't need a bunch of expired offers littering my email.

Even better: If the app could use…

  19. Fuzzy/partial search for folder operations (move to folder, etc.)

Having hit "v" to move a message to a folder, I can only find the folder "Teaching/Admin Hiring" by entering a search string starting "Tea..." Unfortunately, I sometime remember only part of the name of a folder. I'd like to be able to find this folder by typing any part of its name: "Admin" or "Hiring". MailActOn for AppleMail also allows me to match this folder with "Tea/Adm", which would be nice.

  20. When you type V to move to folder it will only show the folder if it starts with the text

Moving to a folder you click V and then type text. The folders only show if the folder starts with the text. It should be smart enough to show all folders with the word.
