(Colored) Icons for Todo, Notice & Done in sidebar
I am using sidebar in shrink mode (so I can only see the icons) and I am missing my often used folders as Todo, Notice or Done. It would be great to have a possibility to choose which folders will be visible in sidebar and also to change their order. Even better to also select their colors (i.e. Done - green, Todo - yellow ...).

FTP upload but http link
I like the idea behind using FTP-upload (or dropbox etc).
But since the recipient needs to download via ftp and also have password it's not that useful.Wouldn't it be great if I could set the "baseurl" in settings so I could choose between having it the way it is or set a http path instead so that my recipients can download the attachment in browser?

Erasing search field contents
Great program. This is my email client of choice following several years of using Sparrow.
One suggestion regarding the search box - probably based on my use of Sparrow. While I know that I can "X" out the contents of the search box with the "X" to the right of the box, it would be nice to also be able to select the contents of the box and delete the contents to delete the search criteria.
Yes, I know the "X" is there, but it is common for someone deleting text to select the text and delete it. Having both…

Download attachments into folder
When clicking "Save attachments" at the end of an email, Airmail should at least have an option to create a folder inside the folder you specified for downloading attachments to.
Most of the time, I receive emails with 10+ attachments/images, so simply throwing these into my "Downloads" folder leaves an unmanageable mess.
Instead, Airmail should give me the option to automatically create a subfolder named after the email subject and place the attachments in there.3 votes -
Add option to disable own email in Reply all
I use "reply all" a lot; but each time I need to remove my own email in the to-field because otherwise I get my own email that I've just sent.
Very annoying; and a big time waster.

Why do my old received attachments not display. I get a constantly turning sync icon. I can't retrieve attachments.
All of my older received attachments will not display. I get a constantly turning sync icon. I can't figure out how to retrieve important attachments - I saw this was an issue in 1.0 that appeared to be unresolved. Really?? this is a most basic and extremely important aspect of using email!! Please fix?!

Don't mark a message as read when simply selecting it.
Selecting a message in the message list view should not automatically mark it as read.
This behaviour is particularly inconvenient when archiving a message, since the next one is selected, and this marked as read (even if it is not).10 votes -

HTML: Div-itis
Love the app. but/and PLEEEEASE change the HTML coding to regular HTML.
(I've been requesting this almost since the 1.0 app first came out and it's drving me INSANE.)
Right now, everything is coded <div> </div> <div> </div> etc. This way the html becomes veeeeeeery long, it's hard to work with, and weird things happen all the time.
For example, if I change a text section to blue and another one to green, if I make slight changes of one kind or another, the blue changes to green or black, the green changes to blue or black, etc. I then…

Few "To" addresses
Some messages don't display others "To" addresses. I can see my email, but I can't see other people. In others app I see all addresses.

Notifications should also have a "Mark as Read and Archive" button.
I'd like to have the option to have such a button, to get rid of unimportant emails and not having them in the Inbox.

adding a recipient that I haven't sent an email to before
I was trying to send an email to someone who is in my contacts but I hadn't sent an email to before. It wouldn't show up as an option when I typed the name into the airmail recipient line and I had to go to my contacts in order to get the email address

Better move messages functionality
Hi, I'm considering switching to AirMail from MailApp. The most essential functionality I have in Mail.App comes from a plugin called MsfFiler. It's similar to your "v" function that allows me to quickly move messages to folders on the fly...but it does the following things which I don't think Airmail's "v" does, including :
1) Ability to type any part of a folder's name to call up that folder. (Say I've got a folder called "Taxes 2015" - I can type "2015" and every folder with 2015 in the title will come up. It doesn't have to be text at…

file handling
I'm finding attachments are not behaving properly. JPEGs are cropped. PDF and word documents often refuse to open, saying the file is damaged yet I can open the same file if I use the Mail app from Apple. Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this - I couldn't find a way to contact Airmail. Thanks!

Fix the sync with the Mac OSX Address Book (Contacts)
You really need to fix the synchronization with the Mac OSX Contacts app. The only way I can edit a group email is to create a new group and copy the email addresses to the new group, within Contacts. Airmail will not re-sync with an existing Contacts Group if I change a member, or if I pick a different email address other than the first one in the group member's card (if they have more than one email address). This is very annoying. I'm OK with Airmail's other limitations (i.e., limited search functions), but I cannot deal with it not…
