Fido U2F Token Support for Gmail
Currently when I connect to my Gmail account the embedded browser window opens to enter rgw 2 factor, but it does not detect my FIDO U2F Yubikey token that I use to connect to Google.
Eventually I want to have only hardware tokens for authentications with Gmail since Google recently started to support this option.
Would be good if Airmail supports it too, as they are more protected against even sophisticated fishing. Something that one wants to care about when accessing e-mail due to the fact that a lot of other accounts link to it.

Mute ( ignore ) email thread
An action to Mute by thread (email subject) - those pesky email chains that always seem to have everybody hitting 'reply all' and clogging up your inbox.

Mute conversations (not just senders)
Please allow us to mute conversations (same as the mute feature in Gmail).
Use cases:
- Any work email chain where people start sending GIFs.
- Any work email chain with dozens of replies about some topic that I’m not interested in.
Currently we can mute senders, but I don’t want to mute my co-workers. I want to mute conversations that are low-priority.

Integrate Virtru SDK for encryption
Could you integrate the Virtru SDK so it works with Airmail? I need encrypted email!!
I'm a long time Airmail user. I'm a physician. At home, I use my iMac. But while at work, I use my Android and a web browser to check email. Virtru is an encryption service that makes it quite easy to encrypt outgoing email. It integrates directly with Gmail (via a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox), has its own apps for Android and Apple, as well as an Outlook plugin.
But it does not have Mac support (besides the iOS app). So I end…

Add sort column headers - like Outlook and Mac.Mail
I would love the ability to expand the width of the email folder view to show additional columns of data, such as sender, subject, date, size, attachment etc.
I would then love to have 'sort headers' like Outlook and Mac.Mail have - to easily sort by whatever column we chose.
This would dramatically simplify the ability to find and sort emails, compared to the current method. This might not be desired by all users - so perhaps 'column headers' could be made as a display setting in the preferences?
This is the biggest feature I miss from other email clients…

Run all rules now
Just simply the ability to run all of the established rules now. I find that if the rules didn't get triggered when email is downloaded, they never seem to trigger. Running each rule set by hand (I have 7) is tedious. (There is also a bug where the inbox view isn't refreshed when items have been moved out of it by a hand-executed rule.)

Delete option in Notification
Hello I would love to the option (alongside REPLY) to delete or archive the email straight from the OSX notification banner when I get an email. If it is already a feature I need to help to access it - otherwise, I feel it would be very useful

Issues with Templates
The templates feature is awesome, thanks for implementing! I just have a few small issues with it.
Embedded images saved in a template don't show up when using the template in an email.
When using a template to respond to an email, it erases all previous correspondence and only includes the template.

Enable arrow keys to scroll through emails
I'd love to scroll through e-mails with the arrow keys, and not just the scroll bar. This goes for both the reading panel, as well as when opening an e-mail.
You should be able to differentiate what the arrow keys do through clicks (reading panel, e-mail body or e-mail headers).12 votes -
Swipe Sensitivity is too low?
Comparing to the swipe sensitivity of Spark, Airmail is pretty terrible. I can swipe just a little bit to get Spark to react, however, I had to swipe a long distance on my track pad to get Airmail to start recognizing my swipe. Deleting the email by swiping is really really awkward because of this. I am seeing a lot of similar feedbacks below, but it seems like Airmail team just don't care about this horrible user experience? Please fix this!

Delete email from a push notification
When a notification comes in on my Mac (top right) it would be great to have the option to delete it right then. You offer the option to REPLY to the incoming email, and a DELETE option would be great as well. Apple Mail allows this. It’s a really quick & efficient way to delete something you immediately know you don’t need, rather than having to open the app.

Show full Email-address by default
Besides showing the sender's name, also show the Email address by default (instead of having to click the pull-down arrow). This would improve security because phishing mails could be identified by their fake email addresses.

Native integration with contacts in OS X
I think the app isn't fully integrated with Contacts app in OS X.
While composing a mail address it returns a lot of results (addresses in Contacts, previous contacts, ecc...).
Moreover in Airmail there's a Sync button to click for force a sync with Contacts.
Hope there will be a better integration with the app in next release.175 votes -
Stop changing focus when syncing email
Whenever I am going through my directories/labels and the syncing starts, all of a sudden the app chooses for me that I should head back to the "All Inboxes" section, and this is quite frustrating. Please let the focus where it is when sync is happening, just sync in the background and don't force focus change.

Edit/Change "subject" on rules forward.
Many external to-do applications (Trello, Gneo for Evernote, Favro etc) have "secret" e-mail addresses I can post tasks to. However, they often rely on being able to edit/change the subject line of the e-mail. I would like to do this as actions within Airmail, however, there is no way I can reach the subject line via the rules settings.
For example, an e-mail comes in that I would like to act on, by creating a task in Gneo (which uses Evernote). That subject line would look something like this:
Original subject line of e-mail
I would then like to add
