  1. Swap archive message for move to folder button

When viewing in message viewer I would like to replace the archive button with move to folder as I don't use the archive function, but I do store all my messages in different folders.

  2. move to folder of other account

When I want to move a message from the inbox to an existing folder I trigger this with the 'v' keyboard shortcut and start typing the name of the folder it only shows the folders of that account that received the mail. The work around is to first for that specific folder and then to drag the message with the mouse to that folder which is cumbersome. Please show all folders that match.

  3. it would be great to have a one button conversations ON/Off to improve

Like apple Mail and other applications to have a one button "Conversations On/Off" as currently one has to go through the preference panel to achieve this. Sometimes it is easier to search for an email outside a conversation, and sometimes it is not.

  4. Allow User to move folders between accounts

The purpose of this feature is to make it easier for users to migrate between email providers , such as going from Google to Office 365, or similar use case. For example: A user moves their DNS domain to the new provider, updates DNS records, and now wants the same email and folders in the new mailbox. Currently, they need to manually create destination folders, select emails in the old folder, and use the transfer to menu option to initiate the transfer,

My idea is to let them click and drag the folder from the old mailbox to the new…

  5. include folders of all accounts in move to

    Hello!

I use several email accounts for different purposes. Some people tend to send me private mails to my business address. It would be great if it would be possible to directly move these emails to the correct folder in my private account. I know this is possible by selecting Folders > Transfer to Account > private account > devnull, but this is really time consuming compared to pressing 'V' and typing 'dev' ...
Maybe this trans account folder search could only be activated if 'All Accounts' is selected in the left pane.

  6. Fix Alphabetical Sorting of Folders...

Guys - please fix folder sort. In short, it just doesn't work. When you create a new folder it puts the new folder at the bottom of the tree - and it seems impossible to move it into the right place. I raised a ticket on this in the previous version; it really needs resolving. If you need more info contact me.

  7. Unread count in nested subfolder

I have message filters (server side) that move messages from certain senders to subfolders automatically. I can see the unread count when the subfolders are directly visible (parent folder is expanded) but when the parent folder is collapsed it would be nice for the collapsed folder to show the unread count for itself and all child folders contained within. Otherwise I have to keep expanding the parent folders to check to see if any child folders contain new messages.

  10. Provide safe instructions when a POP account has to be changed to IMAP

My email provider has changed from POP3 to IMAP. As a result I needed to convert my POP account to IMAP. The suggested process was to not worry about backing up the data just
    (a) create a local account
    (b) copy the files (accessed from Window->Show AirMail Data) from the POP account to the local account
    (c) create the IMAP account (after deleting the POP account)
    (d) copy the local folder folders and files to the new IMAP account.
However, (a) through (c) worked fine, but for (d) while the files reside in the IMAP directory, these old files aren't…

  11. Ability to enable/disable notifications for different tags/folders!

I have been using the rules to filter out my different projects and email distros at work(exchange server), but some of those distros email me very often sometimes a couple of hundred times a day with system status' or debug information and I NEED to be able to turn off notifications on those specific folders.

I really like Airmail but my phone is getting nailed with these notifications and not only does it effect performance but its pretty annoying as well!

  12. Hierarchical IMAP Folders

Currently Airmail seems to flatten then entire IMAP hierarchy (I've just spent (again) about an hour digging around in my Dovecot configuration to try and find the problem, before deciding it seems to be Airmail; Apple Mail handles the folders correctly).

As my folder hierarchy contains a bunch of parent folders whose child folders all have the same name, it gets very confusing in the Airmail folder view.

Handling IMAP folders properly seems like an obvious improvement at this point.

  13. Move Location of Mail Folder - Particularly archives - to Different Disk or Different Enclosing folders

Move Location of Mail Folder - Particularly archives - to Different Disk or Different Enclosing folders. Over many years, the mailbox gets huge, and can start to choke boot drive.

  14. Inherit labels in outgoing messages.

There should be an option so that when you reply to a message that has been Labeled then the outgoing reply would inherit the same Label.

  15. Clone messages when offline

    Hi,

I have an imap account of which the server is no longer active. I would like to move the messages to another account and try using the 'Folder -> transfer to / clone to account' option. It doesn't do anything !!
The account is circled in red because of the lacking server-connection, and I guess this is causing it not to work.
A functionality to export or move whenever without server connection is an essential backup feature to me!! Thanks for your help!

  16. Inbox - Show Time of Day (i.e. 11:23am) next to received date for prior days

Inbox - Show Time of Day (i.e. 11:23am) next to received date for past days. Very helpful in quick scanning of full inbox to find a piece of mail - time of day already displays for current day, but I often scan prior day or two for email as part of my email catch up. Incidentally - love the ISO format date default YYYY-MM-DD. Great!

  17. When moving email into a folder list the folder expands to show subfolders, once email dropped in sub folder the expanded view should close

When dragging an email to put in folders, the folder expands to show sub folder, then when email is dropped in a sub folder the expanded view should close up in the same way mac mail does.. makes workflow easier and quicker - currently remains expanded showing sub folders and taking up space in left panel

  18. Support for Flags/Starred for Non-Gmail IMAP

Currently the Starred section is mapped to Starred on Gmail mailboxes - or - shows mails manually Starred within Airmail

I don't use Gmail, I use a Premium provider and would like to have a function to support 'Flags' or using the 'Starred' section such that it automatically updates within Airmail and allows you so search/sort/filter on them

Currently, mails Flagged in iPhone do show as Starred in Airmail but do not show automatically in the Starred section.

    See support thread https://airmail.tenderapp.com/help/discussions/airmail-beta-226/31-issue-with-refresh-on-starred-items

  19. Add quick search 'spotlight-like' window to go to a folder quickly from keyboard

I know you can search in a window here :

    https://i.imgur.com/17nXR8F.png

However that requires you to use the mouse to then pick the folder from results. I wish you could make a search for a folder from a spotlight like window like this one :

    https://i.imgur.com/i18tjOy.png

And then quickly jump between folders with it. That would save me a lot, lot of time. Thank you so much if you do consider adding this.

  20. Up-to-date Views For Folders

The counter does refresh for folders, but the folder view doesn't. Currently, you have to select another folder and then come back to it in order to see up-to-date content in the folder. This is a basic functionality that is sorely missed. Preferences/Accounts allows you to set Inbox refresh but not folders refresh time. It appears that it was an option at some point but removed? (see screenshot). I moved from Mac Mail to Airmail due to instability issues, but this is making me want to go back to Mail or find another option altogether.
