  1. TOOLBAR IMPROVEMENTS

You really need to make the toolbar better. I like BIG ICONS, I like to
be able to SPREAD THEM APART so I don't accidentally hit the wrong one because I go through a lot of email each day, so I like the icons to be
easily identified as in COLORED ICONS (see the POSTBOX app). Please change this!

  2. in-line reply editing

If someone sends you an email with say, 10 questions, when you reply using Airmail, you can't say, "See my answers in red below," and then answer each question, because nothing that is shown from the original email is editable! Not sure why this is, but it would make me a hundred million times more productive when using AIrmail.

  3. Focus Mode for composing emails

Apps like iA writer and Markdown have a Focus Mode that only highlight the sentence you're currently typing and fade out the rest. That would be an awesome feature for composing emails:

  4. New icon. Improve the overall design and animations - cleaner, smoother. Attention to detail.

Spend time perfecting what's already there, making it beautiful, and work really well. Airmail doesn't need any more major "features" as such, what does need to happen is refining what's there.

  5. Show commands shortcut

I think it'd be terribly useful to have a 'show commands' shortcut opening a typeahead modal window where you can search through all available commands.

The thing is, there are so many useful features in Airmail that you need to make it easier for people to get to them!

  6. Editing emails and applying font colors do not display as the right color in preview pane

Please fix the preview pane so that when I send an email with fonts in different colors, the preview pane displays the font colors properly. Instead, the preview pane displays it as black.

  7. When minimising the sidebar the icons should match what favourites are set on the selected account

Currently when you minimise the sidebar the icons that show up do not match the favourites that you set for the account.

  8. Bug: High Sierra Full Screen

After upgrading to High Sierra (10.13), Airmail v3.5 seems to display issues when in full screen mode.

When composing an email, the To/CC fields would usually autocomplete/suggest contacts as you start typing their name/address. However, in High Sierra full screen mode, this functionality is not present. If you go to windowed mode, it behaves as expected.

Also, spelling autocorrect also seems to have display issues in full screen mode.

  9. Interface and icon usage

When I disable "show message detail" and only look at my list of emails, there is no easy way to delete an email other than swiping left or right. It would be nice to have hover icons (that appear when you hover) to the right of the "unread" and "star" indicators.

In this same view, if I double click an email to open it, the message will appear in a new window (as expected). However, this window does not contain any customizable icons. One major issue is that there is no "trash" icon. So it's hard to double-click an email…

  11. Graphical feedback when moving mails to other account

When moving mails to other accounts it would be nice if there was just a small graphical feedback (e.g. in the status bar) that the process is running/in progress or if it did not work. Often I have mails in my inbox after I tried to move them because it did not work or the mails just were not removed from the inbox although they were copied already.

  12. Permit navigation when viewing messages in a separate window

It would be useful to be able to scroll through messages while viewing them in a separate window (instead of preview pane). This would allow user to quickly scan through messages in the folder without distraction to quickly process them. Also some messages have content that is wider than what the preview pane is currently set to, so this would allow the user to scroll through these messages without having to adjust the application window size and open up these messages individually

  13. subject line doesn't appear above message when animations/transparency off

When "Animations andTransparency" is disabled (in Preferences/Advanced/Advanced Graphics) The subject line of the selected message doesn't appear at the top of the message pane appear until I click in the top of the message pane (under the tool bar).

Re-enablling "Animations andTransparency" and restarting makes the subject line display as expected, but I'm trying to conserve clock cycles...

  14. Smart Folder Refresh

Smart Folders (saved searches) don't refresh automatically, eg when a mail has been read. Eg if you have a Smart Folder that shows all unread mails, you have to navigate out and back to the Smart folder (or hit 1, 1) in order for those read mails to disappear. There should be a Cmd-R type facility to force-refresh (plus an automatic refresh).

  15. Display icons for folders in expanded sidebar

Since most folders already have unique function-specific icons in condensed view, those could be used like finder-sidebar or subfolder/label icons also on the top level of the folder list for easier overview.

  16. Ability to move Send Button in the touchbar

The Send button in the touchbar is not able to be moved. It just happens to sit under my left hand. I inadvertently touch it often, prematurely sending incomplete emails. If I could move it when editing the touchbar layout I could put it in an area that my fingers are less likely to hit it when I don't want to.

  17. Filter list - tooltips or labels

It would be nice to have a tooltip that appears on hover-over, or some sort of other label, for the filters in the Inbox (viewable by turning on "View > Show Filter".

As-is, they're sort of "mystery meat navigation" and are tough to use if you don't remember which does what (see attached screenshot, where they are highlighted).

  18. Account switch icons on MBP Touch Bar

The MacBook Pro touch bar should show icons for the email accounts to allow quick switching between them.

  19. Spam contextual menu option

I wanted mark a message as featured quickly and accidentally I marked it as a spam, and I cannot recover this message. it's not a good idea arrange the "mark as a spam option" below to "mark as featured" in the contextual menu, also both menu options wear icons with same yellow color. I think may be fine to have a spam folder/window to recover messages and email adresses from spam.
Thanks, and sorry for my bad english.

  20. Close original mail window on reply

There is an option in Outlook to close the original mail window when you hit reply. The new window (the reply email) is all you need to see at that point, since it includes the original email in its body. Therefore it is helpful to auto-close the original email window. I have put this under UX because it is about reducing the user's key/mouse strokes.
