I totally agree, the address book is useless. The app is great. This has to be moved to the top of the list for auto-recognition, editing addresses and contacts, even if it is pulling directly from Mac's Contact App, or Gmails. anything to be able to edit, import, group, etc.
Please help us

Delete option for records not in Apple Contacts never available in dropdown. Cannot delete old contact info which results in Airmail defaulting to old, invalid addresses. Need better methods for maintaining contacts.

Please revisit this. Agree with Anonymous here that this is the weakest area of Airmail. Airmail is solid as a rock for me, but I have to constantly go into settings and update the contacts from there when I add new people to my contact list. Not good.

I believe this is the single weakest area of Airmail. Integration with Gmail contacts is terrible, no Groups support. The group has to be created in Gmail. Should be able to use Groups created in Apple Contacts.

Yes, Airmail must use the apple address book. And please better manage contact with more than one email address (search for contact regardless of its email address...)

Also, when a new contact is written in form "Test <test@...>", it is also saved in lowercase ("test <test@..>") which is not so good to see..

Why not just make it use the apple address book?
