off line mode
I want to be able to go into an 'offline mode' to work on airplanes, without internet, or without distractions, without Airmails constant error messages

Really want to see this implemented! Don't want to be forced to move back to outlook or Mac... This has been an outstanding request since 2015 and you are now at Airmail 3. Can you add this?

This is a dealbreaker. I can't use an email program that requires me to be online to even get started.

I also use (or would like to use) Airmail in trains. This has serious problems, including mails being sent twice, not sent at all... There must be some way to deal with this in under two years since the first feedback?!

This issue and lack of flags make the $15 investment (Mac & iOS) worthless. I guess I just assumed since mail clients have been doing this for like, 30 YEARS.

This also needs to be integrated with the request for an outbox.

Ridiculous not to have an offline feature. I cannot work with this app when on an airplane for 12 hpurs and planned to clean my inbox!! :( . too bad!! will go back to Outlook ASAP. Sorry Airmailers, the product is great, but I cannot live without this feature.

I've really enjoyed the Airmail app so far, but today was the first time I opened up the application without internet access (on an airplane) and was shocked to see a completely blank view. Please tell me that this feature is on the roadmap - I don't want to go back to Mail.app!

I really can't understand why Airmail does not support offline mode? Nowadays, this is a default feature for any serious mail client app. Come on!

For me top priority to have this feature in Airmail.

This is really a huge problem with Airmail. I had just fallen in love with the app (after it took FOREVER to index my mail so I thought it was insanely slow but now it is lightening fast). But I can't use the app if I can't use it while traveling. My work moving stuff to folders is all lost, and I have to jump through hoops to send the mail that I have drafted.

Offline is a really important feature for both travel and clearing email backlog when offline

I just bought this software under the assumption that it could be used offline. If I can't use it offline then it has no value to me - I would just use the Gmail web interface.

I would also like to see this feature

I've gone back to Outlook as Airmail is so painful in a mixed connectivity setting :-(

I was working on a train with partial coverage and replying to emails. The experience in Airmail 3 with local drafts, hanging while sending and not being able to see what was going on (and then my emails seemed to disappear only to re-appear in my server drafts folder when I got back into coverage) was entirely disconcerting.
This is a bit of a deal breaker for me - I work often on trains and tether to my iPhone but that means that connections to the server break and I really need visibility on what is waiting to send, what has sent, and be able to stop and restart the process (I know when it is going to fail because the phone has gone out of signal and is now back, but as far as the macbook is concerned it has had full wifi connection all the time)

+1 I also travel a lot on trains and planes and I'd love to get to Inbox Zero on these trips while also having all messages available for search and reference. I don't mind the extra space it would take on my laptop.

Definitely need this feature. I'm a life coach and when I'm working with clients or working on material for them I need to have access to their client info and messages but the distraction of incoming email is too much. For now I have my folders all set to refresh every hour but it would be much easier to just have an online/offline button like in the Mail app.

+1. I work with my emails in batches and at the moment I can't stop Airmail from getting new emails (despite setting to manual). A single offline button would be amazingly useful.
