How can we improve Airmail?

Office for Mac e-mail attachment functionality

If I chose Airmail as my default e-mail reader I loose the ability to send/attach documents directly from the MS Office document (Word, Excel, etc). I can only do this if Outlook is the default e-mail reader.
Is there any way that Airmail can dupe MS office for Mac 2011 into accepting direct from document attachments?

    I'm deleting Airmail because of this issue. I need to share emails from Mac Office apps. This is a deal-breaker. Unfortunate.

    Same to me: trying to send a document (word, ppt, xlsx) from mac office to airmail results in an error...
