Tighten up the Spelling Autocorrect Feature
I support a lot of startups with crazy names like "Zuora". The first thing I do in any app is to turn off all spelling correction features, so that I'm not constantly fighting the app changing "Zero" back to "Zuora" or reversing "Janrain" being turned into "January".
Even though I have unchecked "Autocorrection" and "Spelling Smart Insert" in Airmail 2.0.2, sometimes it still insists on correcting what I've typed. Most recently when typing "Zuora" into the subject line of a new email, Airmail autocorrected it to "Zero". So it's seems it's possible that one of the trigger paths for spelling correction checks is ignoring the setting in Preferences, or perhaps during the last update (not the Dec 10 update, but the prior one) the setting checkbox was checked again and I didn't notice.

Please fix! I've got 4.1.8 and it still autocorrects even though the feature is unchecked in "preferences".

Incredible, the issue still there in 2018! For every new message I have to manually re-activate "Check Spelling While Typing". I contacted support but no solution, frustrating.

To follow up Kimball Clarke's comment below, I've also had the same problem, spell check not staying on so that every new email I write I need to reselect it, which is surprisingly annoying. I raised the issue via the 'chat' thing, and they got me to install a Beta version in which the problem was solved. They then got me to switch back to the normal version, but I have no idea if this means the issue will be fixed in future updates or not.

Just updated to version 3.3.2 and I can't believe this is still happening. Is it really hard to put this inside the preferences setting? :(

Does "accepted" mean sort of like "accepted"? July 2015? March 2017, still nothing happened, very annoying. C'mon.

"Check Spelling While Typing" doesn't seem to stick after it is selected, requiring me to select the option with every email to alert me of incorrect spelling. Is there any way you can make that stick? Why is it not sticking with me, is it something wrong with my install, or is it simply something you haven't solved yet?

This hasn't changed yet??? I've been trying to figure out how to turn this off and just came across this thread. Can the autocorrect function please be fixed?

I've disabled autocorrect globally but it's still enabled in Airmail 3 on subjects. It feels like Airmail is gaslighting me.

I agree - it is dangerous after all. Autocorrect function is often changing sense of what I have just written so practically - have to read carefully everything again and correct those "corrections" manually! It does not make any sense to me.

I am having the same problem even though I have unchecked the autocorrect box. Pretty but poor design that needs attention.

It's 2016 and this is STILL a problem. It's driving me nuts. As often as I turn auto correct of it keeps turning itself on for the subject line.
