Search for unanswered emails (useful for follow-up)
I haven't seen this feature in any client (web or desktop), only services such as Boomerang, which are costly and cumbersome. The idea is pretty simple: add a search criteria for "unanswered emails."
This could later evolve to marking emails for follow-up (and use this mark as an extra filter to the proposed feature).

Early 2014 I've seen a script for Gmail that did exactly that.
This is even handy for home users, f.e. you want a price quote for something and you contact multiple vendors, you plan an appointment with a few people and so on. -

I would like a simple option of a button to push letting airmail know here this is super important when so and so emails me back either buzz like crazy or copy email into super important email follow up folder so I can see it and address it

Love it!

Agree. Dealing with corporates it's extremely cumbersome to follow up which emails got a reply and which didn't. Sanebox can be used to accomplish this, but this would be a killer feature in Airmail.

I don't understand why this isn't a core feature of any email client. The whole point is to manage communications, which are rarely one interaction. Follow-ups and waiting-on are constantly happening, often with deadlines. ActiveInbox for Gmail does this, but the interface is clunky and costly. I bought airmail, but won't be using it because I can't do these use case easily.
