Select next message behaviour on delete
Add an option to choose which direction the selection moves when a message is deleted.
Currently, the selection moves to the next message below. So if I start marking messages with the oldest unread message, every time I delete a message, it moves to a message I have already read. So I have to delete message, then manually move to the next message to read.
Would be nice to have an option to reverse this behaviour, so when deleting it would move the selection to the next message above the deleted message.

This feature request is on here more than once which means the votes are being diluted across the requests.

Someone mentioned the feature is available under "Appearance"
That is not the case. Just talked with support. The feature is not available. It once was, however. Not sure why they removed it.

Directional Selection doesn't seem to be an option in Airmail 3. It would be great if this was an option again (or just the default like in Apple Mail).

Hey there, I had the same problem, but »Directional Selection« sometimes did the right thing.
However, in Airmail 3, the option is gone. It's not that big of a deal, but I wanted to make sure that it's gone for good…

Actually, it seemed to do the right thing the first time I tried it, but then reverted to "selecting the next message down". And switching the pref on and off seems to make no difference to the behaviour now...

Oops - you're right, yes!
I thought I'd looked at every option in the prefs (there are a lot of them!). But that does exactly what I want.
Maybe some kind moderator could close this ticket for me?

I think what you're asking for is already available.
Try selecting "Directional Selection" in the Appearance settings.
