Gmail labels do not sync automatically
Upon testing with many many scenarios, I discovered the following. Suppose an email is labeled in Gmail with label A and B. One removes label A. As long as you remain in "folder" B the label A will never be removed in Airmail. Also not when you press refresh.
The only moment when the label is removed is when you open the folder of the label you just removed. So suppose I would go to label A folder, then rapidly I see the label disappear and when I then go back to the label B folder I see label A is removed.
If you move back and forth between the Gmail web page, this is very annoying. I expect my labels to sync automatically and at least with the interval I set in the settings of my account (currently folders refresh is at minimum 5 minutes).
Please fix this?

If a Gmail rule adds a label to a new email, that label does not display in Airmail. Very annoying.

I find that the syncing of labels works pretty well on Mac. I also use filters to essentially copy Gmails tab feature into labels that are usable by Airmail. This all seems fine on Mac, but things take a very long time to sync to iOS, and if I try to add or change a label on iOS, it just reverts back after a few seconds, never persisting.

Whenever Airmail syncs my e-mails and I'm in Inbox, I'm getting all e-mails first, then come the labels (little colored triangles attached to the list items). It's a bit weird to always wait a few minutes to get a "full sync" of my Inbox e-mails.
I'm always skeptical of archiving e-mails if they don't have labels attached, so I find myself always wondering whether the e-mails I just got in Inbox are labeled or not... and end up postponing archiving because of this. This kind of kills my initial productivity (when starting fresh and getting all e-mails).

Yes, please fix this. I use a lot of automatic labelling via Gmail web. Would like to have the applied labels pushed with the incoming mail in Airmail..
Definitely on iOS -

I am also having this issue. I am a new user and was planning on using this to support Gmails priority inbox. Please advise on how to solve.

Same problem. Isn't this how Airmail claims to support Gmail's Priority Inbox? Very frustrating.

I too experience problems with the syncing of labels in Airmail. Totally unacceptable.

Agreed. I can't use airmail for this reason. I believe there are limitations in the IMAP interface that probably make this a difficult problem to fix. I also had a problem where I changed the label and it didn't properly sync.

same here for the IOS version.
I receive a new mail , i have a rule to apply a label automatically but it is not applied in Airmail
Only way for it to be applied is to go in the label.
