Do not focus Airmail when archiving an email from a notification

I have Close and Archive as options on the notification alerts about any new mail. When pressing Close, the alert is dismissed and nothing more happens, though when pressing Archive, Airmail is focused, and since I have it in full screen mode, this is really annoying. The whole purpose of not having to switch to Airmail to archive an email is gone.

So, I request that Archive should do just that, nothing more, just like Close.
