  1. Tighten up the Spelling Autocorrect Feature

I support a lot of startups with crazy names like "Zuora". The first thing I do in any app is to turn off all spelling correction features, so that I'm not constantly fighting the app changing "Zero" back to "Zuora" or reversing "Janrain" being turned into "January".

Even though I have unchecked "Autocorrection" and "Spelling Smart Insert" in Airmail 2.0.2, sometimes it still insists on correcting what I've typed. Most recently when typing "Zuora" into the subject line of a new email, Airmail autocorrected it to "Zero". So it's seems it's possible that one of the trigger paths for spelling…

  2. Email forwards - include detailed header info

Currently, if you sent an email to persons A and B, and then forward that sent email to person C, the message sent to person C does not include any header info to indicate that it was ever sent to A and B. This is a significant deficiency.

  3. Correctly encode subject lines with international characters (rfc2047)

When Airmail produces a message with non-ascii text in its subject line, it doesn't always correctly encode it for transmission. In particular it seems to run together the encoded-word token with a following token, like this:

    Subject: =?utf-8?Q?=E2=82=AC89=2C95_?=foo

    which should be this:

    Subject: =?utf-8?Q?=E2=82=AC89=2C95?= foo

(For reference see RFC2047 5.1. Also see section 6.2 paragraph 3 which a lot of people get wrong, although it's not directly related to this bug.)

  4. "Reply-to" is not using my alias address

I have gone in and setup an Alias. It says it is using that alias when I select it, but when it get's sent, it ends up saying the main account. I have the aliases setup in my gmail accounts tab and can do it from there, and it works, but from airmail it does not.

This issue describes somewhat what I am trying to do...

  5. Add a button to quickly delete emails from a conversation thread

I often delete emails from a conversation and only keep the relevant ones, it would be great to have an "X" button where the reply and reply-all icons are so that I can delete the email. Right now a bug when clicking the down arrow symbol and selecting "Move to trash", the thread goes away and I have to click away to a different folder and come back to inbox to see the remaining emails in the conversation if I deleted the latest one (say it was an out of office reply or non-relevant email).

    Also I suggest implementing another…

  6. Implement Gmail's 'Send mail as' feature without aliases.

I have multiple accounts configured on gmail. I would like to have an outgoing only mail option for these accounts as I don't need to load the messages for them as I currently do. This results in multiple notifications and frustration

  7. Better highlight the current message

When using the "Minimal" messages style (and most others I believe), it's often difficult to discern which message in the list is the message in the Detail view. I'd prefer coloring the current message with the opposite of those not chosen, such as a black background and white/gray text.

  8. Support for Flags/Starred for Non-Gmail IMAP

Currently the Starred section is mapped to Starred on Gmail mailboxes - or - shows mails manually Starred within Airmail

I don't use Gmail, I use a Premium provider and would like to have a function to support 'Flags' or using the 'Starred' section such that it automatically updates within Airmail and allows you so search/sort/filter on them

Currently, mails Flagged in iPhone do show as Starred in Airmail but do not show automatically in the Starred section.

    See support thread https://airmail.tenderapp.com/help/discussions/airmail-beta-226/31-issue-with-refresh-on-starred-items

Either a red flag or star will do. This really boosts multi-device Business.

  11. Reply should always replay to others an not your self like gmail.

Hi, if i have multiple mails back and fourth I want airmail to act as gmail, wher if i press replay it should automatically replay to the other parties.

If I send multiple mail in a row i get the replay mail to my self and not the other parties of the mail chain. That feels like a strange behaviour and is not how gmail works.

  12. improve contrast on sidebar of airmail 2

a few friends i have introduced to Airmail 2 have commented how hard it is to easily view details on the dark background of the sidebar as opposed to the clarity and detail easily viewed on airmail 1 and apple mail
maybe you can add a customisation so a change of colour / contrast could be available

  13. HTML: Div-itis

Love the app. but/and PLEEEEASE change the HTML coding to regular HTML.

(I've been requesting this almost since the 1.0 app first came out and it's drving me INSANE.)

Right now, everything is coded <div> </div> <div> </div> etc. This way the html becomes veeeeeeery long, it's hard to work with, and weird things happen all the time.

For example, if I change a text section to blue and another one to green, if I make slight changes of one kind or another, the blue changes to green or black, the green changes to blue or black, etc. I then…

  14. Disable automatic download attachments for spam folder

I did a virus scan of my machine, turns out it has 15 (windows) trojans. tracked it back to downloaded attachments from my spam filter in airmail. Granted it just a series of bits on the hard drive unless it is viewed or open, and these can't affect my machine, I would really rather not have a means for even inert and incompatible trojans to be downloaded onto my machine.

  15. When the from address for a new message is changed, remove auto bbc addresses attached to the old from address

The mail address I use the most (and therefore have as the default address for composing new messages) has an automatically applied BBC address. When I a new window to compose a message it has this BBC address attached (as it should!) however when I'm intending to send the message from a different address and change the from address the BBC address remains.

If I wanted that BBC applied to all of my messages I'd expect it to be applied in global settings. If I don't have auto BBC set up for an an address and don't manually type one…

  16. Rules options - ignore Lettercase (uppercase & lowercase)

    Hi,
it would be great to add the option of ignoring Lettercase (uppercase & lowercase) to rules. I often have to create a different sets of rules to override this problem.
    thank you

  17. improve translations

The Dutch internationalizations leave a few things to be desired:

When closing an email without sending it, I get a dialog box asking me if I want to save the email as a concept. The Options are:
    Annuleren (cancel)
    Annuleren (cancel)
    Opslaan (save)

When answering an email and quoting a passage, Airmail prefixes this with:
    "Op 5 januari 2015 bij 12:21:48, Elise van Looij (xxxxxx@mac.com) schreef: "
That's not good syntax in Dutch: in a sentence starting with a preposition, the subject-verb order gets reversed:
"Op <datum> schreef Elise van Looij :"
    Or better:
    "Elise van Looij schreef…

  18. Option to disable (or edit) global address list

I have multiple email accounts with some emails dating back a couple of years. Airmail 2.0 is pulling in email addresses that are out-of-date and I have to be very careful when typing a recipient to ensure I use their current email address.

Out of preference, my Mac address book is the ONLY source of email addresses I would like to use - the GAL may be useful for some, but for me it is a headache and a source of great danger (auto-complete, send to wrong person, get sacked).

Just like Outlook, I would like to be able to…
