Native integration with contacts in OS X
I think the app isn't fully integrated with Contacts app in OS X.
While composing a mail address it returns a lot of results (addresses in Contacts, previous contacts, ecc...).
Moreover in Airmail there's a Sync button to click for force a sync with Contacts.
Hope there will be a better integration with the app in next release.175 votes -
Deleting previous recipients
There should be a way to delete previous recipients, that aren't stored in your address / contacts list. As in: if I replied to a seller on Craigslist, the email address used shouldn't be stored indefinitely in the app, it makes auto-completing other email addresses a nightmare.
Apple Mail fixes this by: Window - Previous Recipients - and now I'm able to mass-delete.
Thank you :)

Syncing with MAC Contacts
Is there a way to auto sync the Contacts when new contacts or groups are added? I nearly dumped Airmail, not realizing I could sync the contacts manually. Now I do the syncing manually each time I add new stuff to Contacts... a real inconvenience.

Capture sender address and phone numbers from emails
It is imperative that we be able to capture a sender as a new contact, and that we be able to capture imbedded addresses and phone numbers from the sender email. Absent this, I will resort to the native mail app.

Integrate contact information on right side of correspondance (Name, Company, Title, Picture, Interactions, Attachments)
On the right side of my correspondence with an individual, I'd love to be able to see the person's social media profile information (Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) — Including full name, company, job title, links to Twitter/LinkedIn, bio. In addition, below the profile information, I'd like to see any other email correspondences that I've had with the individual and attachments that have been shared between us.

Automatically add recipient when their name is mentioned in the body with "@"
Countless hours have been lost waiting for a response from someone I forget to add to an email chain. I usually mention people with "@" appended before their name and it will be super useful to have Airmail automatically add the person's name to the recipients (To: field) once they have been mentioned in the body and have their "@name" highlighted within the body.

BusyContacts Integration
Hi - we really need BusyContacts to integrated with Airmail App please. Not having this feature (and having clonky Contacts show up instead every time) is really ruining my workflow. I am submitting a NEW request for this, since the other request for this in the database is marked as "already present". Which it isn't.

FullContact integration or Nimble CRM
It would be nice to be able to keep your contacts clean like FullContact does and be able to see sidebar contact info from Sidebar or Fullcontact so you can get deep levels of info about your contact.

Contact Profile/Summary Sidebar
It would be great if I could have the option to open up a sidebar that is dedicated to a contact. So when opening an email from "Brandon", his icon would pop up along with a history of all the emails we have exchanged, and the attachments that were sent.
This concept is similar to iPhone's messages app, where you can see all the photos sent. It's also a feature on Polymail. I don't like Polymail, I love Airmail. But that feature is prettyyyyy great.

distribution list
Allow users to create a distribution list within airmail and nickname it something so we can email groups of people WITHOUT having to add the to our personal apple contacts app. I am an educator, for example, so it would be great to create a distribution list of the classes I teach, but I don't want to have to add my students names and contact info to my apple contacts.

Auto-merge contacts with the same email address
Currently, if I once sent an email to "john.doe@gmail.com", and I have a "John Doe john.doe@gmail.com" contact in my address book, Airmail will consider these as 2 different contacts. It should try to merge all the contacts with the same email address to avoid this multiplication, and also to allow for future emails written to john.doe@gmail.com to be associated with the same contact.

Unicode contact search support
I like airmail, but I have a long standing issue, which I though would be fixed by now, but it isn't.
It seems that when it comes to sending an email through searching your contacts written in characters other than Latin ones, Airmail has a hard time finding your contacts. I am greek, but I am sure this issue is bugging others, too.
Example: I have a contact named 'Κώστας'.
If I begin searching for 'Κω', nothing is found.
If I begin searching for 'κω', nothing is found.
If I begin searching for 'Κώ', the name 'Κώστας' is displayed in…13 votes -
You need to have a command that allows the user to create a contact from a sender on the iPhone.
I do not see a way to make a sender into a new contact on the iPhone. That is a fatal flaw in this otherwise useful app.

Exchange performance
Hi Just upgraded to v3.0 this morning. I hoped Exchange performance when fetching people was improved. It still very slow for me. If I compare to Outlook itself or Flexibits calendar application for instance which are instantaneous. Cannot use Airmail as a universal client at least until it is fixed. Thx.

Make AutoFill contacts user friendly
When I write a new email >80% of the time it's to a contact that I was already in contact with, that is in my contact list or I simply exchanged mails with. I need AirMail to intelligently autofill the recipient, cc & bcc form with everyone I already sent mails to. That is to say I just type in a name or a company and it already shows me everyone that is related to this information.

Harvested address management
Over the years, my harvested to and from addresses contain a number with misspellings, deceased addresses, and wrong addresses. I'd like to be able to review these and kill the bad ones. So far, I've found no tool for that task. Contacts is right but Mail is remembering the bogus ones and Airmail happily finds and uses them. Root cause is to kill or fix bad harvested addresses.

Add command to put address in Airmail 3 address book, not just to OS X contacts
Add command to put address in Airmail 3 address book, not just to OS X contacts. Sometimes you want to save an address for later without adding to contacts.

Previous receivers' addresses should be re-usable without adding to Contacts
I'm pretty sure it worked previously. When I want to send an email to someone I have emailed before, their email addresses don't show up in the "To:" field. I need to search for the address and add it to Contacts. It's a bit of a pain, especially that I'm almost sure that in previous versions I did not have to that. Or am I missing something?
