PLEASE allow the "send e-mail" button to be removed from the touchbar
I have accidentally sent 10+ incomplete e-mails because my finger grazes the touchbar when entering numbers. Being able to move or eliminate the "send" button would prevent this embarrassment that I never suffered with the standard keyboard app.

Alias default based on recipient
Short: it would be great to be able to save default alias to be chosen when writing to a particular recipient.
Explanation: I use Airmail for three main accounts: work 1, work 2, personal. If I can send a personal mail with a work account (it won't harm) contacting a work 1's customer/colleague with work 2 alias could be awkward so a contacts based way to select optionally a default alias for a specific recipient would really help me in this. Also a forced "check before send" option that throws a popup asking to choose the alias before sending would…

Herald-like customizable notification popup
Herald (http://erikhinterbichler.com/apps/herald/ ) is a plugin for Mail.app that gives you a customizable notification popup. It's so much more powerful than standard banner popups, you can react very quickly to all sorts of emails right away. It would be great if you could add something like that to Airmail.

Waiting for Answer
You have an folder "answer awaited"
When you send out an email there should be an checkbox "answer awaited". This lasts in a copy of the send email into the folder "answer awaited".
If airmail receives new mails where the Subject starts with "Re:" oder "Aw:" etc. - Airmail checks if there is an email with the same subject in den "Answer awaited" folder. If so airmail moves this email to a folder called "answered" ... or something like that.
This would be a really great feature!

Text Encoding selectable for mails
Sometimes it shows contents of the mail with incorrect text encoding (i.e. Chrinese-Big5 incorrectly selected as UTF-8). And I could not choose the right one to show contents correctly. Just like Mail for OS X, Airmail should support this feature in the future!

Often emails are related even though in different threads. The ability to link threads somehow would be very useful.

To do list sidebar
It'd be great to be able to drag emails to a sidebar that becomes a 'to do' list... I've made a folder but a sidebar (with an option to hide) is better ;)

calendar requests not showing correct time if coming from another time zone
When calendar requests are sent from another time zone, there is no indication of this in the red calendar bar in the message.
Instead, if a calendar request is sent from UTC+1 to a GMT location, it shows the time in the local time (11am instead of 10am) and does not indicate that its a different time zone.
Ideally, the time shown should just say the local time of the event, using the recipients time zone, not the senders time zone. And if this isnt possible, then it should at least indicate a different time zone. Otherwise I would think…

Enable permanent deletion of email. Or disable archiving of deleted email. Basically now
I thought that I had been deleting emails when I sent them to trash and then emptied the trash. Unfortunately it looks like Airmail is somehow archiving ALL email even after it's been deleted. I just found gigabytes of old email that I thought had been permanently deleted. You can test this by doing a search for old email that otherwise should have been deleted. Seriously this is a deal breaker. There MUST be a way to permanently delete email instead of archiving it forever.

Enable/disable collection of email addresses
We have a policy at work not to auto collect email addresses to prevent the autocomplete/user to make the mistake of sending the email to johndoe@thenewyorktimes.com instead of johndoe@client.com.
We fill the address book with only internal addresses so mistakes stay within the company.So the only way we are allowed to use airmail is if we can prevent the collection of addresses.

Option to disable confirmation when marking all messages read
Currently when marking all messages as read in a folder the user is prompted for confirmation. It would be useful to have the option of disabling this confirmation step.

Add support for Gmail Categories
Add support for Gmail auto-labels / Categories;
ie: Social, Promotions, Updates, Forums and work the way gmail does by hiding messages that fall into those categories from the main inbox.

Dark or white color....
I'd be very happy to have 2 different tones (dark and bright) on Airmail depending on the hour of the day...

I will move to Airmail if 1) move folder between local mailboxes 2) export all emails to mbox format in case of need of change client
1) need to move folder between local mailboxes - it's crucial. Outlook, Thuderbird have it, why AirMail doesn't?
2) In case of need of change mail client I'd like to export all my e-mails with folders from local mailbox to any mbox format, etc. Why it is not there, while all other mail clients have it?
