How can we improve Airmail?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.

    I would like the notifications to have an option to be timed to close. I don't want to stop what I'm doing to close/trash the message notification

  2. Integrate With SendGrid API

    Hey guys,

    I have a feature request that may help many here. I think you should integrate Airmail with SendGrid API. What SendGrid does is it allows email to be sent through their system safely so it doesn't go into Spam folders or get bounced. I've recently been having many of my emails from one of my business accounts returned from AOL email addresses. SendGrid would help messages NOT go into the spam folder or returned. Plus, people will be able to see their sent messages and when people open them through their SendGrid as well. SendGrid allows free accounts…

  3. Tagging

    There is an app called MailTags for Apple Mail. It allows you to enter a keyword for every mail you receive. That keyword then appears in the sidebar and lets you easily sort your emails by different keywords as well as use those keywords for search.

    Would be great if you could integrate this kind of tagging into Airmail

  4. Default to inbox for todoist integration

    I have a lot of projects in Todoist and therefore it is time consuming to find the right list when forwarding an email to Todoist. The inbox is at the bottom and that means scrolling. I would like the feature that if I click on "todoist" it automatically goes to my inbox in Todoist and if I want to I can instead choose a specific project. That would speed up things tremendously.

  5. progress bar instead of beach ball when emptying trash

    when you choice to empty trash a beach ball is displayed. It's much nice to have a progress bar, because BB seems that Airmail is hanging,

  6. Hotkeys in Airmail 2

    In Airmail 1 we had hotkeys that we could assign to "create new mail" or "open the app" it disappeared in Airmail 2, what happened to it?

  7. Auto-scroll function of an individual email

    Hi, I'm using AM2.0 on a Mac. Actually I find the auto-scroll does not exist for the app. Someone also put a very detailed video. I put the link here so that you can make yourself better clear for the issue.

  8. Show number of new emails in folder with subfolder

    I have noticed a big issue that annoying me every day with AirMail 2.
    Usually I receive emails moved by rules in IMAP folders and subfolders, but I don't see the total number of these emails in the root folder (see attachment). Also I think that the count of unread emails in the badge should be include the emails in IMAP folders, not only in the incoming box! Actually it's very hard to follow new emails using own structure of IMAP folders.

    Would be great to have some dropdown where you have some quick replay message you can enter by yourself.

  12. Hide signature blocks by default

    For example Mailbox app and many traditional *nix email clients have this really nice functionality that hides signature blocks after "-- " by default, which makes reading lengthy email threads much faster. However, you should be able to expand and read them if you wish.

    That is many companies that nowadays choose use signatures which contain all possible ways to contact, disclaimers, advertisements, cat pictures etc. resulting in several paragraphs of noise and annoyance.

  14. integrate labels into message list

    It will be fantastic if the labels could be integrated into the message list. Currently I need to select a mail to see its labels which is annoying if you use labels intensely

  15. Option to always expand quoted text

    It would be great to have an option to always expand quoted text without having to click on the ellipsis. I get a lot emails forwarded to me and it would be easier not to have to always click the ellipsis.

  16. Find a way to import text, sms, Facebook messages all into a united inbox.

    Too many modes of communication. I'd love to address my text messages in my inbox somehow. Facebook and other social media as well. Lofty, I know.
