  1. select one email in a thread to reply to without opening a new window

current behavior does not expand a thread inside the inbox so I can pick the email i wish to reply to. I want to see that thread inside the inbox like Gmail so i can reply.

Right now I have "open" the thread in a separate window then scroll to find it, and another window opens again to finish the reply. Seems unnecessary to me.

  3. Press enter to jump to subject area after entering recipient, press enter again to jump to message composition field

Quickly jump from entering the recipient to the subject line by pressing enter (ignoring CC, BCC), then press enter again to jump to message composition area.

  4. When clicking on an email link within Airmail then shouldn't the cursor jump to subject entry?

When clicking on an email link within Airmail then the cursor jumps to the composer window. Shouldn't it head to the subject field first? Like when you do "New message"?

  5. Base 64 encoded images in signature

At the moment I can only drag images into the signature composer and hope Airmail does everything correct with them (which in most cases it doesn't).
I have standard HTML mail signatures with base64 encoded images for all my accounts, but pasting them in the HTML of the signature composer still interprets them as text.

  6. Airmail Mac 2.6 Composer Does Not Work With Garmmarian

Native Mac mail composer works great with Interactive Grammarian speller and grammar check. But Airmail's mail composer (all versions including the latest 2.6.x) does not work with Grammarian interactive features. Sometimes, the focus of mail composer shifts and takes me away and out of the composer window where I am typing mail. Because of these two, I tend to go back to the native Mac mail. Airmail is a great program and I hope these two issues can be fixed so I can continue using it. I am using both iMacs and a Mac Book pro laptop under El-Capitan OS.…

  8. "select all"

    Select All - delete

When you select all and press delete in a message you are replying to - it will delete all the text but leaves one level of indentation. Im not sure this is what you want it to do.

    Thanks!

  10. Proper line spacing when pasting from MS Word

When pasting text from a MS Word document, Airmail 2 has the same problem as Apple Mail: it makes the text look double spaced instead of single spaced. However, when viewed in Gmail, the same text looks ok again -- so it seems to be a display issue. Can this be changed? Gmail doesn't have this problem, nor does Outlook.

  11. "Send and Archive" option appears to do nothing on OS X

On iOS, the "Send and Archive" preference changes the behavior of ⌘-enter from just Sending to Sending and Archiving. On OS X, the shortcut is always ;⌘-shift-enter to send and archive. What's the function of this setting?

  13. Reorganize order of head matter

After, uh, decades of email my muscle memory flat out refuses to accommodate to the order Airmail has for headers. Starting with To: and ending with Subject: is just wrong, and I cannot get used to it. The Subject: is first in every other email client I've ever used, and I cannot get used to it not being first.

Is there any way I can adjust the headers to my preference? I almost never need Bcc: or Reply To: so I'd like to hide them unless I need them, and I NEED to be able to restructure it so Subject:…

  14. Delay time changed on its own

I had delay set for 60 seconds. After recent upgrade to 3.0, it changed to 5 seconds. Please program upgrades so they don't overwrite my user-defined settings.

  15. Automatically Select 'From' Account

It'd be great if 'From' account is automatically selected based on domain name of recipients email addresses.

I have private and work account configured in Airmail. Most of my email communication is to my work collegues - and they have email in the same domain that my work email.

    Spacebar double tap for period.

    • Similar to texting where you can double tap the space bar and result in a period for the previous sentence.

  18. macOS Sierra support

    Hi there!

I'm sure you're testing macOS Sierra, but I just wanted to give you feedback about some bugs I'm seeing on 10.12.

The Compose window has fields that are messed up on macOS Sierra. When I double click on the subject field, for example, it does not highlight and remove the existing text, it writes over it so the text looks all jumbled.

    Steps to reproduce:
    - Forward an email message
    - Double click the Subject field to highlight text
    - Type to replace the text with new text
    - The old text does not go away, but is…

  19. A space is added anytime I send an email.

When I send an email, where ever the cursor was in the composer, a space gets added. So "Hello from me." would become "Hello fr om me."

The problem is that if I send a link and click the link to test it, the cursor gets placed there. And if I don't remember to move it, then my link ends up being "http://www.mylin k.com" and it breaks the hyperlink. This has been causing me a lot of trouble with clients.
