Shortcut: add CC recipients
While composing a new mail, the user should be able to add a recipient on cc, using the same shortcut used by Gmail (Command+Shift+C).

Improved Markdown Support
Although the current support of the Markdown composer does allow you to compose emails in Markdown (the main reason I bought Airmail in the first place), the composer is limited in many ways:
If you ever switch off the Markdown view, or in any other way navigate away from the Markdown source view, your entire Markdown source is collapsed into the
[original-html]
block. This is extremely dissatisfying. You lose the ability to edit the original Markdown source, which, really, is a huge problem. In Markdown mode, regardless of whether autocorrect is on or not, you cannot type ellipses (...), two…

Add reply with header from prior email like Outlook/Exchange.
In the biz world, we like to see all info from prior email not just "so and so wrote on this date"
Please add the ability to reply with full headers from prior emails such as:
From: "Last, First" name@domain.com
Date: Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 2:05 PM
To: First Last name@domain.com, "Last, First" name@domain

Bug when composing quick reply email sends it to yourself instead of recipient
If you use a quick reply function (press the little chat bubble) and you where the last person who communicated as in this is your second reply to a person then the email gets composed to yourself instead of the recipient.
Pressing the window icon to make the window pop out into a normal reply fixes the issue

Tab Key functionality - Composing
I'm really used to use the tab key when composing a new e-Mail for switching fields from To:, Cc, Subject ... actually after entering my mail subject hitting Tab Key should bringt me to the main message composer window - not in Airmail. Thekey continues with switching through all format options like bold, inveter, font style etc..
Sorry guys as a customer of your software I'm really wondering if you ever tested it toroughly also with users that are mainly using a mail client bound to their keyboard.
Please fix this, as it is just one of many little flaws…

Add option to switch from plain text to rich text editor.
If you choose the rich text editor as your default editor, you can switch to plain text editor while editing an e-mail. I would like the reverse option as well, i.e. if I choose the plain text editor as default, I would like to be able to switch to the rich text editor once in a while while editing an individual e-mail. Please add this feature.

Airmail cleanup characters styles
When you write a message, sometime you copy text from other source or simply you put things in some style (bold, color, font-size, ...).
Would be nice to have a button "reset to default style" to remove any styles quickly.
I know you can "past and match the destination style" but sometimes you just forget to do that. Or you change your mind.

Configuration option to control number of blank lines below cursor
When replying to an email, there are multiple lines of spacing put between the cursor and the quoted text. The same is true when a signature is used; a large amount of space put between the cursor and the signature. I like to keep my messages compact and not have a lot of wasted space, so I always end up deleting these extra lines.
I looked around and could find no option with this, and confirmed with Airmail support that this is not a configurable option. It would be very nice to have a configuration option to control how many…

Custom colors in fonts and background in composer mode
I like the lower contrast in Markdown mode. It would be great if we could change background color other than white and of course font color.

Warning when sending from wrong account
It would be nice to have a warning (ie. mark recipient in red) when the domain of the recipient doesn't match any domain bound to an account.
(Postbox feature)
This will preserve people from sending business mail from a private account or vice versa.6 votes -
Different signatures for different recipients
This solution I had in "The Bat" for Windows.
When you type a recipient in TO: field, the signature changes based upon recipient email.
You can define different signatures and connect them with different recipients and they are applied automatically.
So you can define different signature for your friends, different for business partners and different for your mom :)
And then you don't need to switch them manually so it saves time.
The Bat had it like 10 years ago :)

reply to html email embeds local paths
I've got plain text outbound emails. When I reply to an html email with attachments, I get quoted text like this:
[file:///Users/ari/Library/Group Containers/2E337YPCZY.airmail/Library/Application Support/it.bloop.airmail2/Airmail/General/Local/1513579233195297024/Attachments/image001.png@01D37821.E689F0D0]
Clearly these local paths should not be exposed to other users. Either give me the option to send as html or just strip inline attachments.

Auto-select 'from' when composing a new email
There is a feature in Mac Mail that I found extremely useful.
When composing an email, Mac Mail was able to determine which account I was meant to be sending from based on who I am sending to.
For example:
Lets say we have 2 email accounts, account 1, 2 and 3
When I email customer 1, I always use account 2.
When I email customer 2 I always use account 1.Mac Mail learns this pattern and auto swaps to the correct account when I add the recpient to the email.
In my case I use at least 8…

Do not autocapitalize first line of body for German language
In the composer the first line below the salutation (e.g. "Dear Sir or Madam," or "Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren," in German) the first line of the body gets autocapitalized, which is wrong according to German grammar rules (unless the first word is a noun or some special pronoun (i.e. "Sie" for the English "you" directed at a respected person)

Get rid of garbage tags and attributes in HTML content
I'm typically composing emails in a simple, concise way. I don't use color or other fancy stuff.
But when I see people reply to my emails, part of the quoted email from me is always blue. Why? Because Airmail inserts unneeded and erroneous HTML tags/attributes in the outgoing email.
The problem is exacerbated when I'm posting to some helpdesk application, which then tries to convert HTML to some wiki-like markup and that gives a lot of garbage now on the user level.
Hope this gets addressed.
Thanks!

email autosuggestion does not work when Airmail is fullscreen
When I compose a new email and start typing an address or a person name while the airmail app is in fullscreen mode, autocompletion of email addresses from my contacts doesn't work. If I exit fullscreen mode, everything works as expected.

Bulleted List Issue
When you are doing a bulleted List - the Tab key should move in the bullet - not add a Tabbed Space next to the bullet.
