How can we improve Airmail?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Bug with "Mark as Read"

    There seems to be a bug with the "Mark as Read" preferences. If "Mark on Click Delay 0.5 Sec" is set, deleting a message from the top of the list will move the selection to the next message (as usual) but the next message won't be marked as read.

    I believe it is a bug because it doesn't happen with the similar option with 1 Sec or 3 Secs delays (on those cases, the message that is selected after deleting one will be marked as read).

  2. Add functionality to OS X menu icon like "create mail" or "go to inbox" etc

    Add functionality to the menu icon so that when I click on it I get a menu with things to do like create a message, go to inbox, see only unread, etc.

  3. Search results for: In Airmail 3, 3.2.4, OS Sierra 10.12.3, The highlighting of current message in list is pale-really, invisible-no matter

    In the list, the selected message is not highlighted in any visible way-- true on my external monitor as well as my MacBook Pro Retina display.

  4. When replying to an email with a numbered list, the numbers will appear BEFORE the blue line indicating the reply and not AFTER. See here:

  5. Delete key action

    Small request: If your cursor focus is in an email, rather than in the email list, the DELETE key does not function. I wish it did!

  6. Touchbar move item

    When using the touchbar to start a move, typing the name brings up the subfolders very well but hitting return instead of going back to the touchbar doesn't acknowledge that the item was moved (on the touchbar) so it's still sitting waiting for the folder to be chosen

  7. Toggle accounts at upper left

    As a user with multiple accounts, I would like to toggle through my accounts by clicking the account icon at upper left sidebar. Right now, that icon gives me an annoying drop-down menu. Much faster to be able to toggle and cycle.

    Alternatively, you could move the stack of icons located at the bottom of the left sidebar up to the top, replacing the icon-with-vertical-email-address configuration at the top. There's no real need to have access to the accounts in both places. However, the current layout is very attractive, and it's nice to see the vertical e-mail address. Therefore, I…

  8. Clicking the ? in plugins window takes me to a intercom.io website

    This seems like a bug. Who is intercom.io, and why am I taken to their website? I was looking for plugins, not customer interaction tracking.

  9. Make a message autoscroll

    On Airmail 2, when you get a long email message, and you want to select the full text...it won't let you select the full text if the email is longer then the app-window. It just doesn't scroll down for you to be able to select the rest of the message. Kinda annoying...This means I have to copy - paste parts of the message in order to get the full content.
