Smart Notifications
It would be cool if you can get badge and Notifications only for "smart " emails. There is a similar function in outlook. Like this you don't have to set VIP contacts.
Thank you!

Yeah thats a feature that is really needed, its actually something that drove me off to many of the other email clients that did not have it. As the email client is spamming with loads of notifications, annoying me as well as reducing the battery of my watch (I want the notifications but not all), if they still want to keep all of them the can do it in bulk, (one to many). Selective notification would also be good as some mentioned.

I'm new to Airmail and I've set "VIP-only Notifications" on all my accounts, doesn't that mean I will only get notifications for my VIP contacts.

Completely agree with Joshua. Having logic that filters out the automatic emails from my work account's notifications would be wonderful.

Also it would be great to be able to set which notifications actually make it to your Apple Watch. I'd like to a be able to get VIPs only on my watch and VIPs plus some others on my iPhone.

I concur with the others. Smart notifications would tremendously reduce the amount of noise from my inbox. At the moment I use Spark just for notifications and airmail for actually reading, writing etc. please help me to remove Spark from my phone!

I like this idea but even better I would like the ability to set up rules to get notifications that can be based on sender, subject, message, etc.

Or, phrased differently, it would be great to have the option to receive notifications only for messages sent directly/specifically to me (so, not for mailing lists or miscellaneous bulk mail but you get a notification for an email sent to you by a person even if not a VIP). I hate to play the client-so-and-so-does-this game, but Spark's smart notifications do this really well. I'd love to see a similar feature for Airmail.
