Option to sync emails through background app refresh
It would be great if emails were already synced when I open the app through background app refresh. But it'd be nice if this were a choice.

Yes, the one feature that should be of utmost importance for development by the app developers is background app refresh that actually alerts you when new mail arrives.

Notifications are absolutely useless. My outlook app and stock mail app push beautifully and notify me the instant an email comes in. With Airmail there is absolutely no indication.
Which is why I've kept the Outlook app and the stock mail app on my first screen along with Airmail to monitor if Airmail even remotely matches the accurate notifications of the other two.
For an email app, strong notifications is the single most important feature. If it can't notify when I get an email what use is it?? And background refresh is enabled on my iPhone in case the Developers wonder.

Hoping with all the feedback they implement this feature.

Agreed. Just posted about this myself. I see I have 20 messages according to the badge count but when I get into the app, nothing is there. I have to sit and wait for the program to download them. This definitely needs to be done in the background.

No question on this!! I was about to start a thread on this actually. If the only way is for new emails to show up is by manually checking them then I guess I need to do away with folders???

Gotta love thinking you have 1 email. Only to open the app and see you missed several important ones.
