"No preview" on lock screen
I believe, the IOS app should have a "no message preview" option on a lock screen, just like a default Apple Mail app. You see a notification on a lock screen, but you do not see a message preview.

I contacted the Airmail support 2 years after I posted this thread, and to be perfectly honest, I don’t understand why a simple feature like this can’t be implemented. This is should be done by default from the very start, why it’s ignored - I don’t know. If I had a chance, I would return my money for buying this app, since now, I don’t see any value in sharing my messages with my coworkers, when they don’t have to see them at all.

This is a huge thing for security. The amount of info that can be obtained from an emails first few lines is amazing. Not having this ability is keeping me with another (far less awesome) app for now. Privacy is HUGE guys, lets get on this right away.

Would also be nice on a per account basis. Ability for some to show previews some not..

I think this is an essential function, as mobile devices are often visible to others. For me, a solution that is equal for all accounts is completely sufficient. I've set the content to be hidden in notification center for all my message apps, and this setting I would like also in Airmail.

This would be great but please do it as a per account setting. I'd like to see the preview for my personal but for example not for my business account.
