Rules on iOS
I think it would be great if rules are also synced between OSX and iOS. So the rules you make on OSX will also apply on incoming emails on iOS.

Ability to accept meeting invitations and add to iOS calendar
Currently meeting invitations show an attached VCS or iCal file that can be viewed but the user can't accept the meeting invitation.
In apps like Spark or EasilyDo, the app gives accept/decline options and then adds the details to the iOS calendar.
Please add the ability to accept/decline meeting invitations as is present in other iOS mail apps.

GPG Encryption/Signature
There is a huge lack of signature and encryption capable email clients in the AppStore when it comes to GPG/PGP.

S/MIME encryption and signatures please!
With the availability of free S/MIME certificates from StartSSL and Comodo, they are essentially cheap enough for everybody to use (we just have to educate people)
I would dearly love to see at least S/MIME security capability with Airmail for iOS. The lack of this feature is glaring on many iOS mail apps. I have actively chosen AGAINST third party apps because of this lack.
In my perfect world, it would include GPG/PGP key cryptography, but I don't know how technically feasible it is on the iOS platform.

Text expander
I would love to see text expander integration so I can use my snippets with the native keyboard.

Add ability to insert clickable links and embed links in text
Right now the only way to e-mail a link to someone through Airmail is to past the whole link in the body of the e-mail, and even then Airmail does not let you make the link clickable. We need the option to insert clickable links and the ability to embed links in text. Embedding links in text is especially nice because it maintains the flow of the message and does not clutter it with long links.

Allow standard notification sounds
The new sounds are great but I have always used Aurora for email so it's sort of hard wired in my brain as the email sound. It would be great if I could select from the inbuilt notification sounds on iOS.

Minimalist reading view
Ever get frustrated that the email you really want to read within the airmail app has tiny text and requires repetitive scrolling from right to left?
Read on...
Imagine Evernote's 'presentation' view or safaris 'reader voew' but for long emails found in the airmail app.
Just hit a button and the current email is reloaded in a special view with nothing to distract you from the actual text of the email.
Even better :
Make that reader 'themeable':
- Add font control (size, typeface, paragraph width)
- Background colour adjustment398 votes -
"Add to existing contact"
One of the only things Mail currently does better than Airmail is this very simple action.
In Mail you simply tap an email address and get the option to create new or add to existing contact.
In Airmail you only get the option to create new.
Simple fix I presume, but an important one.

Exchange Activesync (EAS) Support
Will there be a Exchange Activesync support? I understand that there is a Exchange support but not activesync. This is one thing that is holding me back to migrate to Airmail. Is this in the making or at least in the plans? Thank you!
